Contested Airspace Exercise
A live Red vs Blue exercise across a shared drone mission with real-time scoring for both teams.
Identify and secure weak command/telemetry trust assumptions in a MAVLink-based control link.
MAVLink is one of the most widely used command-and-telemetry protocols in the UAS ecosystem. This foundation mission walks through a simulated ground-control-to-vehicle link and asks you to map where trust is assumed rather than verified.
Working entirely inside an isolated sandbox, you identify the boundary conditions that matter most for authentication and message integrity, then document the findings the way a product-security or Red Team engineer would report them: clearly, with evidence, and with a mitigation a defender can implement.
This is ZoneOfWar’s introductory Red Team mission and a common entry point into the UAS Red Team Practitioner learning path.
