Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy sets the rules of engagement for every ZoneOfWar mission, lab and exercise. It applies to all users, including individual accounts, team members and instructor-led cohorts. Acceptance is required, with version and timestamp recorded, before any account can enter a hands-on lab.

1. Authorized environments only

All offensive and defensive techniques practiced on ZoneOfWar must stay inside the isolated environments we provide. You may never apply techniques learned on the platform to real drones, networks, or systems that you do not own and are not explicitly authorized in writing to test.

2. No real-world interference

You agree not to use ZoneOfWar, or knowledge gained from it, to jam, spoof, or otherwise interfere with real aircraft, spectrum, navigation systems or public communications. Any advanced physical RF or hardware-in-the-loop work is only available in separately controlled, legally compliant environments with explicit approval.

3. No unauthorized access

You agree not to attempt to access other users' or organizations' data, mission environments or accounts without authorization, and not to attempt to bypass platform isolation, monitoring or safety controls.

4. Respect scoring and evidence integrity

Do not attempt to manipulate scoring systems, falsify evidence, or misrepresent completed missions, certificates or skill records.

5. Team and instructor-led exercises

Red vs Blue and other multi-user exercises must stay within the mission's stated rules of engagement. Instructors are responsible for briefing participants and may pause, reset or end an exercise at any time.

6. Restricted and advanced content

Some advanced or hardware-enabled labs require additional terms, organization approval, or manual vetting before access is granted, and may be subject to export-control or sanctions screening.

7. Reporting concerns

If you believe another user has violated this policy, or you discover a security issue, report it tosecurity@zoneofwar.com. See ourResponsible Use principles for the broader context behind these rules.

8. Enforcement

Violating this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account and, where required by law, referral to relevant authorities.
